The movie will return with the same director, Adam Wingard, and several returning actors such as Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, and Kaylee Hottle. In addition, the movie will also bring in new players, namely Stevens and Fala Chen.

The New Empire marks the 38th film in the Godzilla franchise, which began in Japan in 1954 with Ishirō Honda's Godzilla. It also marks the 13th film in the King Kong franchise, which began in the US with RKO Picture's 1933 original.

Synopsis
According to the official synopsis, The New Empire follows up the explosive Godzilla vs. Kong battle with a new cinematic adventure.

It will pit the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a massive undiscovered threat hidden in our world, challenging their very existence.

This epic new movie will delve deep into the history of the Titans, their origins, and the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while uncovering the mythical battles that helped shape these magnificent creatures and bind them to humanity forever.

The over two-minute trailer shows a titan ape sitting on a sinister throne, surrounded by all manner of bones and debris.

At the edge of this gruesome graveyard are two massive skulls that are clearly the heads of Godzilla and Kong.

It seems reasonable to assume that the ape sitting on the throne is Kong, but the creature's appearance seems a little thinner than the main protagonist, and there's an evil feeling to him.

The reveal trailer for Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire offers an extreme close-up of the mysterious blue-eyed villain before revealing that the film will arrive in 2024 exclusively in theaters.
