Love at First Sight (2023) movie synopsis
The story begins with 20-year-old Hadley Sullivan misreading the flight schedule and arriving at the check-in counter too late, preventing her from boarding as scheduled.
She had originally intended to travel to London to attend her father's wedding.
Her confusion forced Hadley to book a new ticket for the next flight, which turned out to be available only in business class.
Nonetheless, she decided to purchase the ticket anyway.
This unfortunate incident turned out to be the beginning of Hadley's meeting with Oliver Jones, a 22-year-old math student from Yale, in the airport lounge.
Their meeting started because Hadley needed a charger and her cell phone battery was running low.
After that, they got chatting and realized that they had a lot in common, from flights to London to things they disliked, like mayonnaise.
Feeling comfortable with each other, they spent time chatting and eating together until it was almost too late to board the plane.
As if they were destined to be together, while on the plane, Oliver's original seat in economy class had a problem, so he was moved to an empty seat that turned out to be next to Hedley.
Oliver and Hadley's journey ended up being full of jokes and laughter, creating unforgettable moments.
The two became so close that Hedley confided in Oliver about her feelings of resenting her father for leaving her mother.
After landing, the two had to go their separate ways. Oliver wrote his number on Hadley's cell phone and asked her to text him.
Unfortunately, Hadley accidentally dropped her cell phone and made it die. Oliver's number had not been saved on her phone.
Finally, Hadley goes to her father's wedding feeling upset because she can't contact Oliver.
In the middle of the wedding, Hadley accidentally hears that a group of guests are leaving early to attend a memorial service at Peckham House.
Hearing the name of the location, Hadley immediately recognized the place because Oliver had previously mentioned that he would visit the place in London for a family event.
Hadley immediately headed to Peckham House and managed to meet up with Oliver there. The two of them were finally able to talk and share stories.
However, this brief encounter was accompanied by a misunderstanding, and they had to part ways once again with feelings of regret. Moments later, Oliver discovers Hadley's whereabouts, but is hesitant to meet her.
